The die-cast faceplate feels really solid and was a perfect fit for my setup. Matched the specs I provided without any issues.

Cut the faceplate to my exact specs and it fit the Tough-Box perfectly—no gaps or wobble at all. The lightweight die-cast metal still feels solid enough to handle daily abuse in the truck. Exactly what I needed to mount my device cleanly.

Die cast makes it feel much more solid than the plastic plates I've had before, and the custom cut fit my 6.483" x 3.250" device perfectly on the first try. Lightweight enough that it doesn't add any noticeable bulk to the console, but it's clearly built to take a beating.
