I had my local shop cut the faceplate to fit my radio perfectly, and the die-cast aluminum feels solid without adding much weight. The 3-inch size fits snugly into the Tough-Box opening with no gaps. Really happy with how clean the install turned out.

Installed this in my truck console and it's rock solid—the die-cast metal is noticeably lighter than I expected but still feels durable. Took maybe 10 minutes to swap out, no wiggling or loose spots at all. Exactly what I needed to mount my 5.6-inch device securely.

The die-cast faceplate fits perfectly into the Tough-Box console and feels surprisingly sturdy despite being lightweight. I had it cut to my device’s exact 5.6" x 1.66" specs and it snapped in without any wiggle.
