I was a little worried about the u-bolts being too tight on my 1.25" rail, but the included 1.5" option gave me just the right fit for a secure mount. The double ball base holds my phone holder without any wobble, even on bumpy roads.

The two u-bolts fit my 1.5" roll bar snugly, and the 2.25" ball locks in place with zero wobble when I tighten the arms. Even after a few rough highway miles, nothing budged.
