The twist lock mechanism on this suction cup base is so much easier to get a firm grip than the old clamp style I used before, and those two 3.3" cups haven't budged once. Hooked my GPS tablet mount to the straight plate with the AMPs hole pattern and it stayed rock-solid through a bumpy gravel road

Used this on my boat dash for a tablet mount and the twist-lock mechanism keeps it rock solid even when I hit some wake. The dual suction cups feel way more secure than the single cup mounts I’ve tried before.

I was a bit skeptical about the twist-lock mechanism, but it’s incredibly secure, and the AMPs 2-hole pattern made mounting my device simple. The hold is solid, even on a slightly bumpy ride.
