The ball joint on this clamp base is rock solid once tightened, and the 1.5" sizing fits my C-size components perfectly. Mounting it onto the square post took less than five minutes with just a hex wrench. Exactly what I needed for a clean, vibration-free setup.

Finally got around to mounting my radio gear on a 1.5" square tube, and the clamp grips perfectly without sliding. The rubber ball mount feels sturdy enough to hold a tablet sideways on bumpy trails.

Used this on a square rail that was just over 1.5 inches, and the clamp tightened down securely with no wobble. The 1.5-inch ball gives solid positioning for my GPS mount.
