The 1.5" ball locks into my cradle with zero wobble, and the 1/2" NPT threads cut cleanly into my existing post. Solid aluminum feel throughout, took all of five minutes to install and it hasn't budged since.

The threaded post fits perfectly into my existing NPT accessories without any adapters needed, and the ball joint holds my tablet steady even on rough roads. Was a little worried about the 1/2" size being too small, but it's solid.

Finally found a ball mount with a proper 1/2" NPT male thread that threads cleanly into my existing post mount without any adapters. The 1.5" ball gives a solid, wobble-free hold for my tablet.
