The rectangular base with its four pre-drilled holes lined up perfectly with my Humminbird's mounting plate, making installation a five-minute job. I was surprised how much the short double socket arm reduces vibration compared to my old setup.

Finally a mount that doesn't let my Helix wobble in rough water—that double ball arm locks rock solid. The 2.5" round base bolted right onto my existing AMPs pattern plate without extra drilling.

The rectangular base fit perfectly on my Helix 5 mount plate, and the double socket arm holds the unit steady even in rough chop. No wobble at all during today's run across the lake.
