I needed a sturdy way to attach my camera to a crossbar for timelapses, and the 2.5" base with the AMPS hole pattern bolted right on without any fuss. The 6-inch arm gives just enough adjustability to frame the shot perfectly.

The double socket arm is rock solid once tightened, but the 1/4"-20 thread could be a tad longer for some camera plates. Still, it holds my setup securely on rough roads.

The 1/4"-20 threaded stud is a solid upgrade from my previous setup, giving a much more secure hold for my camera. I do wish the arm was slightly stiffer to avoid any wobble over rough roads, but overall it's a stable mount that does the job.
