This IntelliSkin® Next Generation protective sleeve is designed specifically for the Zebra EC50 and EC55 enterprise mobile computers. The insert molded design of the skin combines a hard plastic shell with soft, shock-absorbing rubber. Ruggedized charging contacts are located on the bottom of the IntelliSkin® for repetitive docking and compatibility across the GDS® Ecosystem™. This protective sleeve provides military-grade drop protection and cutouts to accommodate the scanning functions of the device. Other cutouts and space in the back of the IntelliSkin® provide compatibility with standard and extended battery packs as well as the OEM hand strap. The IntelliSkin® Next Generation protective sleeve for the Zebra EC50 and EC55 is compatible with a variety of USB 3.1 supported GDS® Docks™ and accessories, including the RAM-GDS-DOCK-D7U USB Type-C single desktop dock and RAM-GDS-DOCK-V11CU vehicle dock. Since we clip these onto the EC55s for our warehouse crew, the insert-molded design means they actually stay put during heavy use. It's tough enough that I don't worry about drops anymore, though I wish the plastic had a bit more grip.

The hard plastic shell feels really sturdy once it's on, and it doesn't add too much bulk to the handheld. I just wish the fit around the top edge was a tiny bit more precise. It’s definitely doing its job protecting the device during daily scans.
