The rubber ball is a perfect 1" fit and the mounting hardware feels rock solid once tightened. I bolted it on my StreetPilot 7500 and it hasn't budged through a week of bumpy back roads.

Bolted the round plate to my StreetPilot 7200 and it holds perfectly even on bumpy roads. The 1-inch rubber ball gives just enough adjustability to get the angle right. Only wish the included hardware had a bit more thread length for thicker dash mounts.
