The RAM-201LSU, standard double socket arm with steel locking knob, has a socket at both ends that accommodates 1.5" ball bases. A single spring inside the arm opens the end sockets, allowing you to pivot the ball and socket connection. This socket technology allows for almost infinite adjustment and perfect viewing angles. The locking knob, includes a brass 1/4"-20 thread; this allowing you to disengage the screwing of the knob. Once you have set your mount in the location you need, you can lock it in place and feel safe that your mounted device will stay right where you left it.

Mia ★★★★★

I was pleasantly surprised at how easily the double socket arm snaps onto my ball base, and the steel locking knob stays put even on rough boat rides. It's solid enough that I don't worry about my device shaking loose.

Grace ★★★★★

Finally, a mount that actually stays put on rough roads. The steel locking knob gives me real confidence that my device won't go flying. Fits perfectly on the standard 1.5" ball bases I already have.

Kevin ★★★★☆

The locking knob gives a reassuringly solid feel when you tighten it down, and the spring mechanism clicks into place cleanly. I just wish it came with the ball base included for the price.
