The ratcheting arm is a game-changer for adjusting the rod angle on the fly while trolling. I can tilt the tube forward or back effortlessly without loosening anything, and the flush mount feels like it's part of the deck.

The flush base sits rock solid on my deck, and the 6-inch post arm gives me just enough height to keep the rod clear of the gunnel. Tilted it back a few degrees for trolling and the ratchet held firm through some decent chop. Exactly what I needed.
