I mounted this to the dash of my work truck and it took about 10 minutes total. The ball slides smoothly and locks tight into the receiver.

The drill-down base mounted perfectly flush onto my truck's dash panel, creating an incredibly clean look. It holds my GPS rock steady even on rough washboard roads.

The slide-and-tighten lock is clever and holds firm once you get it set, though it took me a couple tries to find the sweet spot. The whole thing sits so flush on the flat surface that it barely looks like a mount at all.
