The clamp on this mount grabbed onto my square 1.5-inch post without any slipping, even after a bumpy ride. It’s solid enough that my fish finder stays perfectly still, and the 6.25-inch base gave me plenty of room to adjust.

The 1.5-inch ball and socket system locks down tight, and the clamp base grips my square post without any wobble even at speed. The 6.25 x 2 inch rectangular base gave me plenty of surface to attach my device securely. Solid piece of hardware that feels like it'll outlast my boat.

The ball and socket system gives me plenty of adjustment angles, though tightening the clamp took a bit more muscle than I expected. It feels solidly built for my boat post.
