Set it on a table or counter and it stays put — the 4-hole pattern lines up perfectly with my GDS dock and the base doesn't budge. No drilling needed, which was the main reason I grabbed it, and honestly it feels more solid than I expected for the price.

Finally dropped my tablet mount onto this weighted base and the 8-pound cast iron gives it a rock-solid feel I wasn't getting before. Setup was truly no-drill, just sat it on my desk and it hasn't budged an inch.

The 8-pound cast iron base is hefty enough that my GDS dock doesn't wobble at all on the workbench. Setup was straightforward—just placed it on the flat surface and it held firm immediately. Only minor gripe is the finish shows fingerprints quickly, but it's not a big deal for a component.
