The 1/2" NPT hole threaded onto my mounting base perfectly, and the swing arm locks solidly with that metal knob—no wobble even on rough trails. I've had cheaper plastic arms slip on me before, but this one feels built to last.

The metal knob makes tightening and adjusting the arm's position incredibly easy, even with gloves on. I'm using it for a tablet mount in my truck and the 1.5" ball socket holds it rock solid on rough roads. Exactly what I needed for my setup.

Finally got this mounted for my marine radio setup and the swing arm gives just the right reach. The 1/2" NPT hole made for a clean install on my existing accessory plate.
