I needed a sturdy mount for my GPS in the truck, and the aluminum pipe combined with the double ball sockets keeps everything rock-solid even on rough roads. The two round plates with AMPS holes made attaching my device a breeze.

The 24-inch pipe is just the right height for my boat console, and the drill-down base feels rock solid even on bumpy rides. My iPad stays perfectly in view with the two double socket arms adjusting exactly where I need them.
